Where FastLoupe fits

FastLoupe gives you ratings, pick/reject flags, colour labels and side-by-side comparison in a local catalogue. You choose the keepers; it does not automatically choose the best expressions or score missed focus. It can also help you find past shoots across existing folders or metadata seeded from Lightroom Classic.

FastLoupe builds its own local catalogue and preview cache. Initial cataloguing takes time; later grid browsing uses those prepared previews. Full-resolution review and export can read the originals. Cached-scroll measurements do not tell you how long your cull will take.

Test value, not a slogan

There is no measured head-to-head result here showing a manual pass finishes nearly as quickly as an assisted pass. Try the same representative shoot, include preparation time, and compare the quality of your final selections as well as elapsed time. The right answer can be different for different jobs.

FastLoupe uploads no photos or catalogue data to Oddbrd and requires no FastLoupe account. Optional backup sends copies only to storage you configure. Store accounts and checkout are managed by Microsoft or Apple. See the privacy policy.
